There’s no question that Keith Urban is one of the most famous Australian country singers, well, ever. Therefore, it’s no big surprise that he snagged not one, but two awards at a Country Music Association of Australia event on Saturday, adding to his huge collection of accolades.

Is there ever a time anymore when there isn't some sort of awards program on television? It seems as if there is one every week.

You think you had a busy year? Lady Antebellum has had the busiest year of their career... so far. They're hoping it will continue into 2012... and you know... I'm betting it will.

Yet another awards show and I love it.  There was a poll recently on CNN to see if people wanted less country music awards or stay the same. Well, the people have spoken and they want it to stay the same! Tonight is the 2011 CMT Artists of the year hosted by actor Rob Lowe...

This time of year, there's a lot of measuring done. Measuring your home so you know what size Christmas tree to get... measuring boxes to make sure the gifts will fit inside... measuring for what size shirt to buy uncle Bill... and measuring to see who is on top in the music industry for the past year.

It's another 'feel good' story of local (well... Texas local) musicians making a name for themselves on the national stage.

Just in case you missed the 2011 lighted Christmas parade this year I have you covered.  It was truly an amazing event as there were around 130 entries this year.  Many different schools, car clubs, bike clubs, and different organizations who participated and they all showed their Christmas spirit this year...

That's right tonight on ABC at 7pm the 45th Annual CMA Awards will be taken place and get ready because it has certainly been an interesting year in country music.  Seems like more duets came out this year as well.  Chesney and Potter, Paisley and Underwood, Aldean and Clarkson, Zac Brown and Buffet...

From the 'hometown boy does good' file... George Strait has done it again! I'm not sure who actually picks his material, but for a guy who doesn't write (well, he doesn't write very much, anyway), he's done really well during this era of the 'singer-songwriter'.
