Hey NYC, Hollywood, Nashville, Memphis and others, you may need to step aside for awhile and let Texas bask in its glory for all the Texans who garnered GRAMMY nominations this week.

Music has always been a long standing tradition in the Lone Star State and this year’s Texans that made the list are from all genres of music recognized by the The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences 54rd Annual GRAMMY Awards for recordings released during the eligibility year October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011.  And we’re not just talking country here; Texas is producing nominees for Rap, Norteno, Tejano, Gospel, Blues, Folk and Contemporary Christian.
