Valentine’s Day Thoughts

Valentine’s Day is almost here. Valentine’s Day brings bring some memories of childhood. I remember creating Valentines for every kid in my class and then having to make a box to hold all of my Valentines.

One year I won first place and all I did was cover it in hearts, I was so excited. Valentines is a day to show your loved ones how much you care.

I asked some of my friends what they did on Valentines and got some really neat and funny answers. I thought I'd share with you.

Ken Looks To Facebook To Get Barbie Back

Far be it from me to criticize someone looking for relationship advice on Facebook. It happens every day… one of my friend's status updates lets me (and their other 1000 friends) know they’re having second thoughts or troubles in the relationship they’re currently in.

But when a page created as an advertising ploy for a 50 year old toy line starts asking people what they think should be done in a relationship, I have to say something about it.

Are You Ready To Crank Up The Heater

As all of you heard by now we are supposed to get snow on Thursday and Friday.  I'm not a meteorologist but I say it won't happen.  The weather experts around here are calling for a 20 percent chance of light snow with highs in the mid 30's on Thursday.  Thursday night lows in the 20's with a 40 percent chance, and Friday with a 30 percent chance in the morning and afternoon.

I Wish I Could Play The Guitar

I have known many musicians, some of them just play the drums, some play piano, but most play the guitar.  Every once in awhile I get the honor of hearing Joe Bob pick up our old dusty Copley guitar and just going off.  It's not tuned but it still sounds nice.  I want to play too, but everytime I pick it up he just gets annoyed due to me not having a clue what I'm doing.  I've tried many times to learn but I guess it is just not an instrument made for me to play.  Don't get me wrong, I have the ear for it, but it's just not me.

How Young Is Too Young For A Cell Phone?

Over the past couple of years it has become common place for teenagers to own cell phones. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone over the age of 15 that doesn't. I do not have a teenager. My oldest child is 11. Does he have a cell phone? Yes.
