The one thing you have to love about Texas is the weather.  It's not everyday we experience icy roads or even snow.  Last night we had freezing rain hit us here in Texas as temperatures dropped to around 20 degrees.  Schools were cancelled, Businesses shut down in the morning and some just closed for the whole day, school events and other activities were rescheduled, and to top it off BINGO WAS CA

There is a strange rule in the broadcasting business (the 'biz' as we call it) that says we can't use the words super and bowl together unless we are actually promoting the Super... see there... I almost did it. What is up with that? It's been around for 45 years and now we can't call it by name?

As all of you heard by now we are supposed to get snow on Thursday and Friday.  I'm not a meteorologist but I say it won't happen.  The weather experts around here are calling for a 20 percent chance of light snow with highs in the mid 30's on Thursday.  Thursday night lows in the 20's with a 40 percent chance, and Friday with a 30 percent chance in the morning and afternoon.

Over the past couple of years it has become common place for teenagers to own cell phones. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone over the age of 15 that doesn't. I do not have a teenager. My oldest child is 11. Does he have a cell phone? Yes.
