What would you do if you lived next to an NBA star?  Well these kids in San Antonio went right up to his front door, knocked, and just ask if he would play with them.  IT WORKED! San Antonio Spurs point guard, Dejounte Murray was happy to go out and have a little fun with the kids, however wasn't going to take it easy on them ,  what an awesome memory for these kids!

Murray's play on the court in 2017 earned some high praise and had San Antonio fans excited about the future.  Here was very a athletic point guard who could play lock down defense. The 2018 season was going to be his year to take it to the next level! That did not happen .

Dejounte Murray missed the entire 2018-19 season after he tore his right anterior cruciate ligament in a preseason game against  Houston Rockets in October of 2018.   This was just another turn of bad luck for Spurs fans during the 2018 season. I mean, this is the year that Kawhi Leonard sat the bench all year, ultimately leaving the Spurs for the Toronto Raptors.

Murray was having flashes of brilliance this year on was on track for the best year of his career, stat wise.  In 58 games he was averaging 10.7 points per game, 5.8 rebouns, and 4.1 assist. Murray is looking like another balanced player that fits right in to the Spurs system.

This year, the Spurs were on the outside looking in for a playoff spot with a record 24-36, sitting at the 12 spot.  We all know what happens next, COVID-19.  So, we wait until next year for Murray to take over as a star for the San Antonio Spurs, he is our future, get our Spurs back in the playoffs.  GO SPURS GO!
