Don't look now but the San Antonio Spurs have a chance to still make the playoffs. Well, at least the play-in tournament. Coach Pop continues to be a brilliant coach as the Spurs have heated up at just the right time.   Right now the Spurs sit at the 11 spot in the west behind the Lakers by half a game for that final play-in spot. Yes, the Spurs are only half a game behind a team that features Lebron James, Russel Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony.  This is where coaching comes into play.

If you are not a Spurs fan you have probably not heard of most of these people. The Spurs are led by Dejounte Murray, Keldon Johnson, Lonnie Walker, Jakob Poeltl, and of course, Coach Pop.  The Spurs' current record is 31-45 and is a far cry from the days of the Claw and the Big Three.   However, Coach Pop has basically a bunch of names you have never heard of on the brink of making the NBA play-in tournament to make the NBA Playoff and that is why Coach Greg Popovich is of the best coaches in NBA history.  Even in a year that a lot of people say that it is time for the Spurs to tank and rebuild. They still have a fighting chance to make the playoffs GO SPURS GO!  The Spurs will play the Portland Trailblazers tomorrow night!
