Sgt. Michael Varela is A Hometown Hero

Today we'd like to honor Sgt. Michael Varela as our next Hometown Hero. He was nominated by Emily Weatherly and here is what she had to say about Sgt. Varela who serves in the U.S. Army National Guard as well as working with EMS at Cuero Regional Hospital.

"Michael is an exceptional employee, father, husband and friend. He is kind, dedicated and exceptional at his job."

Emily adds, " Michael has been deployed several times and works hard to say connected to his family while he is gone. We are blessed to have him here and are grateful for his service to our country and community."
