Amateur ("Ham") radio operators from all over will converge on the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds (4200 Highway 36, Rosenberg, Texas) for the Greater Houston Hamfest Saturday, March 22nd. Ham radio is a great hobby, as well as a means of emergency communications when other systems fail. Presented by the Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club, this is the 2nd largest hamfest in Texas!

Registration begins at 7:00am; hours for the hamfest are 8:00am-1:30pm. Here are a few of the featured activities planned:

  • Over 200 vendor tables and 1000 expected attendees
  • GIANT Tailgate Area
  • Keynote Speaker - Bob Allison,
    WB1GCM, ARRL Senior Test Engineer
  • Raffle main prizes (see below)
  • Frequent door prize drawings
  • Fox Hunt - $100 CASH PRIZE
  • Many other full "hamfest" features such as VE Sessions, Hands-On Demos, Kid's Corner, Hot Food, Equipment Test Table, live ham special event station, fox hunt and much more.
