Throwback Thursday: When Brantley Gilbert and Thomas Rhett Performed Together At Schroeder Hall
Here is a look back at the show at Schroeder Hall that featured two of the biggest country stars on the planet: Thomas Rhett and Brantley Glibert. But at the time, we didn't know just how big this two would get.
In 2011, country music history was made in the Crossroads.
Back on November 18, 2011, the Taste of Country tour made a stop at Schroeder Hall! The lineup brought country star, Brantley Gilbert, as a headliner and a very new artist by the name of Thomas Rhett opening the show. Can you imagine these two playing together today for just 1,200 people?
This was three years before I started working at Townsquare Media Victoria, so our previous Program Director and midday host, Joe Bob, had the pleasure of introducing them on stage.

Brantley Gilbert started out writing hits for Jason Aldean.
At the time of the show, Brantley's name was already known in country music. As he had already written big hits for Jason Aldean, such as "My Kinda Party" and "Dirt Road Anthem."
The show was part of the 2011 Christmas Tour presented by KIXS 108 and Taste of Country. Just one of so many great shows KIXS108 was able to put on at Schroeder Hall.
Just in case you forgot what it looks like or if you just want a memory, check out this tour of Schroeder Hall.
