I am always writing about food challenges from around the state, and here is an epic burger challenge coming up in Victoria.
The burger challenge will happen on Friday, April 17, at Grumpy's in Victoria, and space is limited. If you finish the challenge in 15 minutes or less, your meal is free. If not, it will set you back $49.99, which is not a bad price for all the food.

Here is what you have to finish in 15 minutes.

  • A massive cheeseburger with your choice of veggie toppings
  • 6 half-pound patties stacked and loaded with cheese
  • 1 pound of tater tots
  • 1 pound  of fries
  • 20 oz drink
If you would like to add to your challenge, you can add bacon, egg, jalapeños, mushrooms, and more for an additional charge. Do you have what it takes?

The original Dairy Treet location in Victoria is open again.

Back in June 2024, a Victoria institution, Dairy Treet, closed its doors for an extensive remodel and an upgrade of the facilities at the original location. After almost two years, they have officially reopened their doors. It's great to have that location back open to bring life back to that intersection.

.

However, one thing looks completely different. Dick's Food Store is no longer open. It is still sad to see that empty parking lot. Now, there is a for-sale sign, so it's just a matter of time before that corner looks completely different. I am sure Dollar General has already scouted that site.
