When Will South Texas Water Parks Open For The 2026 Season?
School is almost out, and summer time is almost here. Now is the time to start planning trips to water parks in South Texas. The question is, when do they open up? With so many water parks within driving distance, the only question that we should really have is, " What direction are we driving?"
South Texas will be without Hurricane Alley this summer.
On a sad note, Hurricane Alley in Corpus Christi announced they were closing earlier this year. Yes, we still miss Splashtown as well; that one doesn't sting as much anymore because it has been a few years since the land became a car dealership.
Splashway Waterpark - Sheridan, Texas
Splashway Waterpark is now open weekends and will open weekly for the summer season on Saturday, May 23.

Schlitterbahn Waterpark - New Braunfels, Texas
Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, which is now run by Six Flags, is also now open weekends and will open weekly for the summer season starting Memorial Day weekend.
