Turkeyfest Announces Entertainment

Commence the countdown for the Great Gobbler Gallop and the 41st annual Turkeyfest in Cuero. The three-day event will include live music and "an exhilarating exhibition in the ultimate of girl power," according to the official Turkeyfest website.

Live entertainment includes the Trevor Cole Band and the Randy Rogers Band. Headlining Saturday is Kyle Park with opening acts to include I-69, The Rankin Twins, Dale Watson and His Lonestars and The Texas Tornados, says the Victoria Advocate. Other entertainment for Turkeyfest includes the AXE Women Loggers of Maine, a traveling show of world champion choppers and axe throwers. The show includes underhand chopping, standing block chopping, hot sawing, cross cut sawing, axe throwing and log rolling, according to the Turkeyfest website.
