73 Vehicles Scorched After Massive Fire Engulfs TX Pumpkin Patch

Going to the pumpkin patch typically involves posing for pictures and picking out your next jack-o-lantern. However, for the visitors at Robinson Family Farm, a pumpkin patch in Temple Texas, their experience was much different.

MASSIVE SMOKE CLOUDS AND FIRE

Around 1 pm as visitors were walking around the pumpkin patch, a massive black smoke cloud burst into the air. Suddenly, a fire began to take over the entire parking lot at the pumpkin patch. Many people began running toward the area as they tried to locate their vehicles.

73 UNLUCKY VISITORS

The fire spread quickly, but many people were able to get into their vehicles and leave safely. However, for an unfortunate 73 visitors, their cars were scorched to the ground. Firefighters arrived and were able to stop the fire before more vehicles were caught in the crossfire.

Aside from the unlucky 73 vehicles, none of the visitors and their families were injured. “We are so thankful to report that no one was harmed & that is of the most important to us,” the farm said.

A VETERAN HELPS OTHERS ESCAPE

John Bessick, a veteran who was visiting the farm took action and began helping other visitors escape the area among the flames and explosions.“It looked like something out of a war zone,” Bessick described.

POSSIBLE CAUSE OF FIRE

Investigators are currently trying to figure out how the first started. Currently, they believe a cigarette may have caused the fire. “We are seeking information on a possible person who may have discarded a cigarette into the grassy parking area,” the Bell County Fire Marshal’s Office said.
