Let the Fun Fall Festivities Begin in the Crossroads
For the rest of the nation, Fall begins September 22nd; however, at a low of 66 degrees, the Crossroads decided to start Fall a tad bit early this year!
So it's time to gear up and shed those Summer vibes and cool it down with some Fall vibes!
Time to break out your sweater(keep it light, because this is still Texas y'all) and make sure to stop by The Box to order your Pumpkin Spice Latte- to initiate the Fall season, of course. Gather up a few pals and run through this list of a few fun activities to do to get you into the spirit of Fall.
If you're from South Texas then you know all about the Rocky Creek Maze. It is a staple for Halloween with their Haunted Trails, but they actually open almost as soon as Fall season begins and have some pretty awesome things to do before the spooky season takes full effect.
The Rocky Creek Maze rests on 8-acres and has a corn maze that is a fun experience for the entire family. They have so many other things to enjoy like hayrides, duck races, corn cannons, and a pumpkin patch to snap some photos for the #gram.
Pumpkin Patch First United Methodist
Speaking of pumpkins, what could possibly symbolize Fall more than that bright orange round fruit?!
Luckily for the Crossroads, there is always an abundance of pumpkin patches to visit. First United Methodist Church has always made sure to keep the community together by providing the cutest pumpkin patch in town. Extra precautions will be made to ensure everyone's safety and cleanliness Bring your family to this patch and snap some photos. Before leaving make sure to pick out your own pumpkin at the patch and bring it home for our next activity on the list.
If you plan on laying low this year, totally understandable, have no fear we have got you covered too!
Hobby Lobby has a wonderful section of DIY projects to try at home by yourself or with some pals. Currently, they have a Punny Pumpkins DIY, and it everything in my book right now. It is a fun activity that requires no artistic skill at all, which is always a plus for me because my stick people art is as sad looking as it gets. The Punny Pumpkins are essentially the new and improved carved pumpkin- minus the mess. Ditch the butter knife and grab a can of spray paint and stencils instead. The site provides you with step-by-step instructions and even includes some photos to offer you some inspiration for your own unique design.
