Surgical & Medical Masks Overpriced Due To Coronavirus

Doesn't it just seem like the neighborly thing to do? You know, offer a product that has been reasonable in the past and then a catastrophic event takes place and your solution is to jack up the price by exponentially. Because that is exactly what has happened with surgical masks. According to CBS, prices of surgical masks and similar products are being overpriced as the fear of Coronavirus spreads like the virus itself. Amazon has had numerous price gouges for masks and in one case a pack of masks saw a price jump of 588%. If you think that is an extremely large amount of money, you are correct. While there are some people and companies that will try to provide aid and assistance during a crisis, there are other (let's call them special) people who see dollar signs and let morality go out the window.

But hey, don't just take my word for it. Go anywhere that sells medical or surgical masks and see the price. Is that price the same as it was pre-coronavirus-epidemic or has it jumped significantly? However, the mask price hike is more hurtful in many ways than just financially. If you see mask prices jump like that you may be wondering if the masks are actually a good counter for coronavirus and are now probably considering buying some masks, but you may want to reconsider. The CDCP (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) does not recommend the general public wear a mask, but they have also released some information on which facial hair you should have and not have when it comes to wearing a mask.
