Grapeland to Host Bluegrass Festival

I just received this message from our friends in Grapeland, Texas;

Come help us kick off the 2014 BLUEGRASS SEASON here at Salmon Lake Park!! Fun Pickin' Weekend is a long time tradition at Salmon Lake, the park offers free rough camping and RV spaces for only $10 that weekend?plus there is NO ENTRY FEE for the Bluegrass happenings there that weekend. We start the weekend off Friday night with OPEN STAGE down at Sunshine Inn! This was great fun last May and should prove to be even bigger this year! Saturday morning we will have a MUSIC SWAP MEET area for anyone wanting to sell their personal musical instruments or books or strings or capos?anything music. Then about noon, at the pavilion, we will do a Pot-Luck Lunch and Jump right into our "BATTLE-OF-THE-BANDS" bluegrass band contest?Bands interested in playing on the Salmon Lake Park Festival stage will converge for this competition that also serves as our annual audition showcase.

Saturday night we have a GRAND FINALE back down at Sunshine Inn with an OPEN STAGE, and by popular demand!!
