Sunday at 8am you can Paddle the Guadalupe Delta to Seadrift. The length of the "paddle" is about 13 miles. The start is at Calhoun’s Riverside RV Retreat off H35 at Guadalupe River. Take out is at Seadrift Bayfront Park. (Note: last 5.5 miles is in the bay, is subject to strong winds and waves, and is recommended for experienced paddlers only)

Personally, I think you have to be a little crazy to even attempt this race. I know several people who attempt it every year, and yes, they are. It's a long way from San Marcos to Seadrift, and the same team has won for the past 4 years.
