On Feb. 13, an unidentified man picked up an undisclosed amount of money from Western Union inside H-E-B Plus. This money was scammed from a woman in Arizona. The unknown offender contacted the victim, stating she won the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes and requested she send money via Western Union to pay the taxes on her winnings.

This is event is to draw attention to traumatic brain injury awareness with a balloon release for people who've had a brain injury, family members and their caregivers. The free event, in Deleon Plaza in downtown Victoria is organized by a mother of a Victoria woman who died from a traumatic brain injury and will feature several speakers.

The City of Victoria is working on a new Comprehensive Plan and citizens of Victoria will have a chance to help plan the next 20 years for their city by offering input and feedback Tuesday at 5:30 pm at the Victoria Community Center, 2905 E. North Street in Victoria.

At 5:25 a.m. March 17, officers with the Victoria Police Department responded to the 3800 block of North Laurent Street in reference to an alarm. A check of the location revealed three subjects entered the location and rummaged through shelves and cabinets.
