What is the ‘Devious Lick’ Challenge on TikTok

Even though the videos have now been banned from TikTok, that does not stop the kids from still making these videos and posting them on other social platforms such as Snapchat or sending the videos to each other.

While I have not seen any reports of damage from the Victoria Independent School District. I have seen many reports from around the state of schools being vandalized.

The latest TikTok trend has students vandalizing school property. The latest challenge is challenging students to post videos of themselves on the social media platform smashing bathroom mirrors or stealing soap dispensers and destroying other items on school property.  Just in case you didn't know, the 'lick' term is slang for theft. 

For most of the videos that are posted, students are posting vandalism of hand sanitizers, soap dispensers, and even toilet seats and school signs.  How were these videos allowed to be posted on the social platform for so long?  Recently, TikTok has redirected all videos and hashtags promoting the 'devious lick' challenge to this message stating that states  'This phrase may be associated with behavior or content that violates our guidelines.
