The Shiner Gaslight Theatre will present "Welcome Home," a play by Marty Davis, as the 2014 summer production. Michael Lawrence will direct. The comedy involves the homecoming of Daniel Frame, who returns after 11 months in a veteran's hospital for treatment after a nervous breakdown brought on by guilt. He thinks he has wrecked his daughter's marriage. He is joined by family friends John Barnett and Willie Perkins, also released that day. Clever dialogue and heartwarming scenes create a light and lively performance with many laughs, according to a news release from the theater.

Cast members are Michael Lawrence, Sarah Reese, Megan Harper, Ashley Stluka, Colby Jahn, Matthew Foster and Ashley Wachsmuth. Crew members are D. J. Truman, Kristofer Knesek, Kathleen Knesek, Emily Malinovsky, Darby Johnson and Micah Morkovsky, says the Victoria Advocate.

Performance dates are: July 25, 26, 27 and 30 and Aug. 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10. Season ticket holders may make reservations beginning Tuesday. Regular tickets will go on sale July 7. Call the Gaslight Theatre in Shiner at 361-594-2079 from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday, to make your reservations. Visit shinergaslight.org for more information.
