The following announcement was made through VISD's social media platforms, including the VISD website which you can view in its entirety here.

According to VISD, the following late/delayed schedule will occur Tuesday;

At this time, VISD will have a two-hour delayed start time for all campuses:

Elementary: 10 a.m.

Middle School: 10:30 a.m.

School buses will run two hours later than normal.

Example:  If your bus pick-up time is 6:30 a.m., it will now be 8:30 a.m. All bus routes will be delayed by two hours.

Will classes end at the regular sheduled time?

Campuses will dismiss at their normal times and after-school activities will resume.

VISD will continue to share updates with parents and staff via Edulink notifications, the VISD website, and official social media accounts. Updates will also be shared with our media partners.

VISD offers that they will continue to monitor the weather situation and may adjust this plan as necessary should there be a change to the current forecasted conditions.

VISD adds their thanks for your patience.

Thank you for your understanding as we work through the frequent weather forecast changes associated with Tropical Storm Nicholas.
