The City of Victoria Utility Billing Office is making accommodations for customers who were impacted by the recent winter freeze.

Victoria Utility Billing Office offers financial accommodations after winter freeze

Residents whose water usage was higher than normal because of the freeze may contact the Utility Billing Office to request an adjusted bill. Upon request, the Utility Billing Office will provide a credit adjustment for these high-usage days.

Make sure you hurry to make your situation known to the City.

The Utility Billing Office is also temporarily waiving fees to connect and disconnect water service for plumbing repairs.

Residents must complete repairs by Jan. 31 in order for fees to be waived.

Also, residents with past-due water bills that were originally due Jan. 10 will not have their water disconnected this week, since the Utility Billing Office was unable to process late payments while City offices were closed.

The Utility Billing Office will waive the $25 nonpayment fee for these customers.

This grace period will last until Jan. 31. Residents whose bills were due Jan. 10 should pay their bills by this new date to avoid being charged for nonpayment or having their service disconnected. All other customers are unaffected by this change.

To request an adjusted water bill, call the Utility Billing Office at 361-485-3400; email csr@victoriatx.gov; or visit 700 Main Center, Suite 110. Residents may also contact the Utility Billing Office to request an extension on their water bills or set up a payment plan.
