Big NFL News this morning as JJ Watt has taken to social media and announced his time with the Texans is over.  In a Facebook live video published to his page, Watt speaks directly to his fans.

"I have sat down with the McNair family and I have asked them for my release and we have mutually agreed to part ways at this time," Watt said in a video posted to Twitter.JJ Watt followed that statement(SEE VIDEO BELOW)  with a heartfelt thank you to the City of Houston. 'The way that you guys have treated me, besides draft night. I mean, you guys booed me on draft night. But every day after that, you treated me like family. And I truly feel like you're my family.'  Just another example of what a class act of Watt truly is.

JJ Watt was drafted by the Texans in 2011 with the No.11. It wasn't long after that, that he face of the franchise. JJ Watt has won three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards from 2012-15. Per ESPN, Watt had one year remaining on the contract he signed in 2014. He was owed $17.5 million in 2021, but his salary was not guaranteed. He is now free to sign with another team. This could get interesting!

Last month, Watson officially asked to be traded from the Texans. The trade request came after Watson has repeatedly voiced is his displeasure with the Texan's upper management.   Earlier this year, Watson offered input on potential general manager candidates, but the Texans neither considered nor consulted with those endorsed by their franchise quarterback.

The Houston Texans are a mess!!!
