Ruby Begonia Selected and Lineup Announced for 2026 Turkeyfest

Five turkeys took to Main Street for the trials, including four birds hatched in April and raised by Pedro Gonzales specifically for next year’s race. The fifth competitor, and eventual champion, was the reigning Ruby Begonia. What an exciting event.

Not only do we have our Ruby Begonia set, we now know who is performing at the 2026 Turkey Fest.  The 54th Annual Cuero Turkeyfest, scheduled for October 9-11, 2026, will feature a weekend of live entertainment, carnival rides, food and craft vendors, a parade, cook-off competitions, family activities, and the Great Gobbler Gallop.

This year's entertainment will be headlined by Texas Country artist William Clark Green on Friday, October 9, and Country legend Tracy Lawrence on Saturday, October 10. Additional performers include Drew Oliver, The Scott Taylor Band, and Shane & Renee Total Entertainment on Friday; The Ryan Talley Band and Spazmatics on Saturday; and Broken Alibi and the Texas Unlimited Band on Sunday. Daily lineup and set times will be dropping soon.

The very next month, we are hosting our 3rd Crossroads BBQ & Brew Music Festival on Saturday, November 14 in Downtown Victoria. The festival headliners will feature Randy Rogers and Kyle Park.
