UHV Athlete of the Week Andrew Gross

University of Houston-Victoria and Townsquare Media would like to congratulate Andrew Gross on being the Athlete of the Week.

High School/Previous School: Alvin High School/Alvin Community College

Statistics for the Week: Helped the Jaguars compiled a 4-1 record as he paced the offense with a .450 batting average that included three home runs, five doubles, seven RBIs and eight runs scored. He finished the week with a 1.150 slugging percentage and a .542 on-base percentage. He currently has 14 home runs on the season, three shy of the UHV single-season record. He was named the Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week for baseball for the week of March 21-27.

What advice would you give to a younger player about the sport you are involved in that would help them improve? Play as if every game is your last game.

What is your background and experience in the sport you participate in? I played Little League and select ball before playing in high school and collegiately.

What is your favorite food? Steak
