Speedy Stop to Break Ground and the Latest on Ventura’s

There is definitely a lot of construction going on in Victoria. A lot of you have seen land being flattened at the corner of Ben Jordan and Houston Highway. That will be the location of a new Speedy Stop. The new store will be 8,500 square feet and will also have a liquor store that will almost be 4,000 square feet.

I reached out to Courtney Montalvo with Speedy Stop(CL THOMAS). “We are excited to have broken ground on our newest location in Victoria at the corner of Ben Jordan and Business 59. This c-store will be 8,500 sqft and feature a Speedy Stop Kitchen with freshly prepared food offerings, all of the great merchandise offerings our customers are familiar with, and 24 fueling positions offering unleaded, plus, supreme, diesel, and ethanol-free gasoline. The new Speedy Stop location is coming in early 2023!

WHAT ABOUT VENTURA'S SECOND LOCATION?

After a slow start, construction has really amped up the new Venturas location. The outside of the building is just about complete. I reached out to find out the latest tentative opening date, "hopefully in November." We can't wait!  This will be a welcome addition to the Main Street Corridor. Let's hope this is the start of more development in this area?   The new location will have a full-service bar, drive-thru, and a covered patio area for diners. The Navarro location will remain open. Who remembers going to pick up Tamales at the Water Street location? We can't wait for the new Chick-fil-A location to break ground.
