"We are a band of friends who live to play music that means something to us.
It’s all about the music,” says front man, Scott Taylor of The Scott Taylor Band.
Scott Taylor has been performing in the Texas club and dance hall scene with his
brand of country music for over a decade and knows a thing or two about what it
takes to entertain the masses. His high-energy show “doesn’t slow down until
they kick us out.” That’s what keeps the fans coming back for more, night after
night.
Scott Taylor, formerly the lead singer of the well-known South Texas bands, The
Emotions and Rhythm of the Road, has forged his own path to create country
music with his own style and sound. “I grew up listening to, and learning from,
songs and artist’s back in the good old dance hall days,” Scott says of his early
days in the music business. Today, you can hear much of that influence in the
bands set list and original recorded material.
The band members that Scott Taylor has been able to attract to his organization
are top-notch musicians that gravitate toward a great show and great music. It’s
no wonder they joined up to form The Scott Taylor Band.
Over the years, Scott Taylor and the band have shared stages with artists such
as Tracy Lawrence, Shenandoah, Robert Earl Keen, Big & Rich, Stoney LaRue,
Kevin Fowler, Jason Boland & Reckless Kelly to name a few.
After the release of the new album, Beautiful Sin, in 2013, and its award of Album
of the Year at the 2014 Texas Music Awards, The Scott Taylor Band is running
full steam ahead with high expectations of their career’s success and look
forward to whatever the future brings.
In addition to their music, The Scott Taylor Band also hosts a crawfish festival
each year. The 2015 Scott Taylor Band Crawfish Fest will be the 4th annual. In
it's first year, it was started as a music festival to showcase local and regional
music acts. After the success of the first annual event, organizers wanted the
event to grow. They were contacted by a major potential sponsor who wanted to
be a part of the event. Shortly after the addition of Miller Lite and Hartman
Distributing as sponsors, event’s organizers developed a relationship with
Warrior's Weekend. A portion of the proceeds from the fest have gone to
Warrior's Weekend since 2013. The Scott Taylor Band Crawfish Fest has
achieved significant growth since its inaugural year of 750 in attendance. Last
year, approximately 3,500 people attended and consumed 4,000 lbs of
crawfish. Local and Regional music acts have continued to be showcased each
year during the twelve hour, nonstop music, two stage event.
