Saturday CharlieMac Drink Specials
With the New Year in full swing, I think we should take a moment and relax and take in the moment. Sit back, watch the world around you or watch something on the screen. While you're at it, relax with a delicious mixed drink in hand. Here's one that might just be sweet enough for you.
Creamsicle (original source)
Ingredients:
1.5 oz vanilla vodka
.5 oz almond syrup
.5 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz orange juice
Orange twist to garnish
How To:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well. Pour mixture into a glass and then finally garnish with an orange twist.
Was that not sweet enough? Then this drink will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth.
Dirty Rocky Road Milkshake Shooters (original source)
Ingredients:
1/3 cup chocolate chips
2-3 tablespoons heavy cream
2 toasted marshmallows
1/2 cup Rocky Road(ish) Ice Cream
2 ounces Jack Daniels
3 tablespoons milk
3 ice cubes
1/4 cup multi-colored sprinkles
How To:
Microwave the chocolate and cream together for about a minute. Then stir up the mixture and microwave for 30 seconds. Repeat until the chocolate is melted. Then let the chocolate-cream mix sit for a minute or two just to thicken up.
In a blender add the marshmallows, ice cream, Jack, milk, and ice cubes. Blend the ingredients together until they are completely mixed. If mixture is too thick add a more milk, if it’s too thin add more ice cream. It doesn't really matter how thick or thin the shake is, it all depends on your preference.
Take drink glasses (preferably shooter glasses, but you decide) and dip quickly in chocolate, just enough to line the rim, then dip in to the sprinkles. Pour a teaspoon of the chocolate in to the bottom of each shooter. Then divide the milkshake evenly between the glasses. This recipe says it creates a serving size of three, but divide it up how you see fit.
Townsquare Media and KIXS 108 do not condone underage drinking and encourages you to drink responsibly. Have a safe and fun weekend!
