Texas Woman Serving Prison Time is Now on the Run After Escaping
Federal Halfway House Escapee
In a development that has the U.S. Marshals Office on high alert, Crystal Marie Reyes, 39, has reportedly escaped from a federal halfway house, and now they're turning to the public for assistance in bringing her back into custody.
The Great Escape
Crystal Marie Reyes was sentenced to eight months in prison back in December 2021 for violating her supervised release conditions. Reyes managed to slip away from the residential re-entry center where she was serving the remaining stretch of her prison sentence.
Colorful Past and Extensive Record
Reyes, standing at 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 156 pounds,. Her last known residence is on the South Side of San Antonio.
What adds a layer of urgency to this search is Reyes's extensive criminal history. With charges ranging from theft to the unlawful carry of a firearm, and a laundry list of drug-related offenses.
