Not only are you gonna have a chance to laugh the evening away, but you'll also be supporting Perpetual Help Home in the process.

A night of laughs is in store as Perpetual Help Home presents "Make'em Laugh 2012" from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Victoria Country Club, 14 Spring Creek Road. The night includes dinner, music by Flashback, a live auction and the comedy of Brent Reed and Gordon Douglas.

According to the Victoria Advocate, for the past 20 years Gordon has served as the head of the pastoral board of the Delaware County Pregnancy Center and regional coordinator of the National Day of Prayer. In his spare time he is president of Therapeutic Construction and Design - making custom equipment for people with disabilities and heads up Operation Bellylaughs sending comedy DVDs to the troops.

Perpetual Help Home, a Christian ministry, is a permanent supportive housing program helping women and their children in hardship circumstances. Perpetual Help Home helps women get on their feet by assisting with job searches, network building, financial management and more. The program is structured to transition residents step by step to independence and stability in the community. Through Perpetual Help Home's social enterprise, the Center for Peace, job skills training is provided by volunteers.
