Gil Livanec will speak to the 'Edna Master Gardeners' tonight at 7pm at the Jackson County Services Building Auditorium, 411 North Wells in Edna. Gil Livanec was educated in the health field and worked on the Appalachian health care delivery in Tennessee before joining M.D. Anderson in Houston. He retired in 1998 as Medical Administrator of Women's Cancer at U.T.M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Upon retirement, he became a Master Gardener in Brazoria County. He is a certified citriculturist by Texas A&M and has some 21 citrus varieties on his property.
