‘Kolache Fest’ Saturday in Hallettsville

The 21st annual 'Kolache Fest' is Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville. Kolache Fest has something for everyone! From the Eating Contests to the arts and crafts booths to the classic car show featuring cars from all over the area. Perhaps the highlight of the day for children young and old is the Kolache Fest Parade through Hallettsville’s Downtown Square. Other activities for the children include games and activity booths. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Czech festival without polka music. Throughout the day polka bands are on hand to entertain guests and delight visitors.

The night is finished off with the Kolache Fest dance featuring bands that are local and regional favorites. If you’re looking for an opportunity to discover what Texas heritage is all about, come to Kolache Fest and learn the wonderful Czech philosophy. Dance to the polka, and sing the songs of the musician. Taste the true ethnic food and lend your soul to the fulfillment of the Czech cultural heritage.
