King George Turns 68 Years Old

Today we, celebrate George Strait's 68th Birthday!  The man is timeless, just like his music.  I had the pleasure of seeing George in concert, back in 2004 in San Antonio at the SBC Center(now ATT Center).  Opening the show on that night was a newcomer to the Country music scene, Miranda Lambert, maybe you have heard of her? LOL.  Next on stage was Tracy Lawrence who was the perfect lead in to King George.

This was my first big time Country concert and it remains my #1 in my book.  This man proves, that all you need is your band, a guitar and a mic to deliver a memorable concert.  No extreme light show, no huge LED screens, no fire, just good music:
