By far one of the most popular performances at this year's CMA Awards was Kelly Clarkson's soulful new collaboration with Vince Gill, her new country single 'Don't Rush' -- and for good reason. The song comes from a very passionate place inside of her.

The first 'American Idol,' who has already had hit country duets with Reba McEntire ('Because of You') and Jason Aldean, says it is her current relationship with McEntire's stepson, Brandon Blackstock, that inspired the passionate, love-filled single, which was penned by songwriters Blu Sanders, Natalie Hemby and Lindsay Dawn Chapman.

“I’m in a relationship and super happy,” Clarkson told ABC News Radio, “and I don’t think I would have been able to sing this song eight months ago."

She continued, "Love should be celebrated, and this is a great description of where I’m at in my life. This is a couple’s skate, not an all skate song."

'Don't Rush' is included on Clarkson's latest album, 'Greatest Hits -- Chapter One,' which is set to be released on Monday (Nov. 19). The album will also include several of the singer's pop hits, as well as 'Don't You Wanna Stay,' her duet with Aldean.
