Everybody loves a good bowl of chili, and everybody I know loves pets. The two come together in the Moonshine Drinkery 2nd annual Chili Cook-off.

It happens Saturday (Feb 6) from 12 noon to 9pm at Moonshine Drinkery, 103 W. Santa Rosa in downtown Victoria. There's no cover for the event, and proceeds from the event will benefit the Dorothy O'Connor Pet Adoption Center.

There's live music scheduled to begin at 1:00 from Mason Lively, with Jake Truss at 2:00, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades (great band name, by the way) at 3, with the Scott Taylor Band starting at 6.

Cooking (I can taste it already) begins at noon, judging starts at 6. If you want to enter, email your info to info@moonshinedrinkery.com. You can also message them on Facebook or, call 361-489-3479.
