Just a couple of hours ago, I just did an article about how Target was rewarding its employees for their hard work during the pandemic. H-E-B has also announced they will be doing the same for their employees but to the tune of $500.00.   Earlier this year, H-E-B raised the hourly wage by $2 as employees had to adapt to changes caused by the pandemic.H-E-B then moved that it would be moving to the largest pay increase in the company's history.

H-E-B has really stepped up for its employees during the COVID-19 pandemic while continuing to take care of our communities. From taking care of our Healthcare workers on the frontline of the pandemic, military families, homes for heroes, first responders, and even sending their mobile kitchen to aid in the aftermath of Hurrican Laura in Louisiana and East Texas.
Normally around this time of year, we are getting ready for the 'Feast of Sharing' at the Victoria Community Center.  That will not happen this year, due to the pandemic.  Although this year’s H-E-B Feast of Sharing will not include the traditional in-person dinner events and volunteer opportunities, H-E-B will make monetary and food donations to 18 Texas food banks including the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent in Victoria.  The company will also donate to 40 hunger relief agencies such as Meals on Wheels.

In-person H-E-B Feast of Sharing dinners is scheduled to resume next year, during the 2021 holiday season.
