Firemen’s Fest In Sweet Home

The Sweet Home Volunteer Fire Department 9th Annual Fireman's Fest includes a barbecue cook-off; car, truck and bike show; and fireman games this weekend. May 16: 6 p.m. to midnight. Music will be provided by Scott Taylor Band. Plates will be served from 6 p.m. til the food runs out. Plates are $8 each and consist of gumbo and stew. May 17: All day. There will be helicopter rides (weather permitting), a food court, kid games, gift items, a hamburger stand and bake sale.
