This year's Warrior's Weekend Veteran Field of Honor flag posting is set for this Saturday morning at 9 AM at Parkway Church. It was originally supposed to take place last weekend but was moved due to inclement weather. If you need any information or would like to purchase a flag for the Field of Honor, click here. They are also still looking for volunteers to help out on Saturday morning. Warrior's Weekend First Responder & COVID-19 Front Line Medical Workers Field of Honor II will run from October 9th-21st, also Parkway Church.

This event will lead to the 2021 Warriors Weekend celebration that will happen from May 21st-23rd. For fifteen years, Warrior's Weekend has been assisting combat-wounded veterans with a relaxing water therapy weekend in Port O'Connor. About 300 combat wounded OIF/OEF while 300 transport themselves by private vehicle and another 100 Pre 9-11 are also included.

The weekend is filled with a good ole South Texas Welcome with all the surrounding towns waiving on the streets, shutting down highways, waving big flags, and showing appreciation for what we all hold dear - OUR FREEDOM! It is truly an awesome sight to see a convey of hero's driving down the street.

Friday night there is a fish fry including our boat captions, Saturday morning a yummy taco and fruit breakfast as the heroes hit the water about 8:30 am on approximately 300 boats. Weigh-in is from 12:30 - 3:30 pm down at Froggies Bait Dock. Saturday night is the BBQ dinner with awards and poker tournament. Sunday morning a full-fledged breakfast at 8 am and a big SEND OFF to our heroes.
