Another week of October brings us that much closer to All Hallows Eve, otherwise known as Halloween. Have your party planned or have your parties to visit scoped out? Why now bring the fun with some Halloween treats? Here are some great drink recipes that should get the mood just for some great spooktacular fun!

Purple Potion Punch (original source)
4 c Purple Grape Juice
1 c Vanilla Ice Cream
1 liter Lemon-Lime Soda
Garnish – Vanilla Ice Cream, Sprinkles
How To:
In a large pitcher, mix the grape juice and melted ice cream. Then pour into a glass and garnish with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and garnish with the sprinkles.

Frankenpunch (original source)
2 liter Ginger Ale
1 can (46oz) Pineapple Juice
2 c Tequila
Garnish – Lime Sorbet, Lemon Slices, Lime Slices
How To:
In a large punch bowl add the ginger ale, pineapple juice and tequila. Next add in two scoops of sorbet and some lemon and lime slices. Pour the mixture into a glass with ice. This is best used at a party rather than drinking it solo…your stomach will be thankful you shared.

Jolly Rancher Shots (original source)
2 bags Jolly Rancher Hard Candies
1 bottle (750mL) Vodka
2 c Seltzer (or Lemon-Lime Soda)
How To:
Start by dividing the jolly ranchers by flavors, and place them into jars. Divide the vodka among the 5 jars (because there are only 5 flavors of jolly ranchers) and cover either with plastic wrap or seal with the jar lid (if there is a lid) and let sit in the refrigerator until the candies are dissolved. When ready, pour your choice of vodka flavor into a shot glass, filling only half way, then top off with the seltzer/lemon-lime soda.

Ghostly Halloween Cocktail (original source)
2 oz Vodka
Red & Green Food Coloring
5-6 oz Lemon Soda (enough to top off glass)
½ oz Chambord
Garnish – Blackberries, Dry ice (optional)
How To:
In a shaker add the vodka, 10 drops of both green and red food coloring, Chambord and stir it all together and strain into a martini glass and top off with lemon soda. If you happen to have any, put in a couple pieces of dry ice for a spooky foggy effect and garnish with blackberries.

Gates of Hell Cocktail (original source)
1½ oz Tequila
2 tsp Lemon Juice
2 tsp Lime Juice
1 tsp Cherry Brandy
How To:
In a shaker with ice add the tequila, lemon juice, lime juice and shake well. Strain into a glass with ice and drizzle the cherry brandy on top.

All, if not most, of these drink ingredients can be found at your local liquor store. Townsquare Media and KIXS 108 do not condone underage drinking and encourage you to drink responsibly. Have a safe and fun weekend!
