Lady Antebellum’s “Just a Kiss” has claimed the top spot on the Billboard country chart for a second week in a row and climbed to #1 on the Country Aircheck chart, taking the place of the Zac Brown Band and Jimmy Buffet's "Knee Deep". CMT Daily Roundup says the trio wrote the hit single with their buddy Dallas Davidson while they were already in the process of recording their upcoming album Own the Night. Lady A’s Hillary Scott remembers the phone call that changed it all.  “I’ll never forget the day we wrote our single, ‘Just a Kiss,’ because the guys were over at Dallas Davidson’s, in his writing room, and I was in the vocal booth actually singing a vocal on another one of the songs on the album. And so, Charles called and said, ‘Hillary, I know you’re singing, but you’ve got to get over here. We started something that we really think is special.’ And so I drove down Music Row and hopped in the writing room with the boys, and we wrote it and loved it.”  Lady A’s Own The Night hits stores September 13th.

Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” single has been certified quintuple platinum by the RIAA for five-million digital downloads. In addition, “Just a Kiss,” the first track from their upcoming album, Own the Night, has been certified platinum for one-million downloads.

Lady Antebellum has canceled their show which was scheduled for Friday at the Indianapolis State Fair. Through their website, they released this statement: “We were so sad to hear what happened and have kept the families of those injured and especially those that lost their lives in our prayers.”
