At 11 a.m. Thursday, approximately 400 electric consumers in El Campo, Bay City, Eagle Lake and Columbus remained without power after Tropical Storm Bill hit the area Tuesday morning. The number is down from 2,700 yesterday. A reported 11.5 inches of rain soaked the area when the storm made landfall. Approximately 150 contractor and AEP Texas employees from across the state remain working in the area to restore power. The following are updated Estimated Times of Restoration:

Columbus/Eagle Lake          3 p.m.
El Campo                           5 p.m.
Bay City                             8 p.m.

In addition, AEP Texas continues to work closely with the Emergency Operations Centers of Wharton, Matagorda and Colorado counties as severe weather in the area continues.
