Tropical Storm Bill… 11am… 6/17/15

Though the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill are still moving across Texas, the primary danger to Victoria County has passed.

Wind gusts of 39mph were recorded at the Victoria Regional Airport with a gust of 54mph recorded at Port O’Connor.

Rains associated from Tropical Storm Bill will fall in the Victoria area the rest of today. Between 2-4 inches are expected, heavy rains are possible.

A flash flood watch remains in effect in the Victoria area until midnight on Wednesday.

The Guadalupe River forecast has been lowered to a crest of 25.1 feet to pass through Victoria late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
