Top 10 Things AI Says You Should Do When Visiting Victoria Texas

There is a saying in my house, "Only boring people get bored." You might guess that I say that to my children, and sure on occasion I've used it when they came to me to tell me they "didn't have anything to do", but I really use the saying more to remind me that there is plenty to do in the way of family fun in VictoriaI just have to have the right attitude to get out and be a part of the fun.

And being a part of the fun this morning included working with artificial intelligence which I've been reluctant to use since I first heard about it.

With those thoughts in mind, I asked Chat GT to give me what they considered to be the Top Ten Things to Do in Victoria. Here is what AI came up with, and I want to know what you think about this list, especially if you've done everything on the Top 10 Things AI Says You Should Do When Visiting Victoria Texas.

Number 10- Take A Historic Walking Tour

Downtown is beaming with rich history and some of the most famous architecture abounds in the neighborhoods surrounding De Leon Plaza and beyond. I enjoy being outside so this tour is right up my alley. Get started by visiting Victoria Visitors and Convention Bureau. Tell Bridget we sent you for the map of the tour!

Number 9- Be a Bird Nerd at Aransas National Wildlife Refuge.

We laughed at this a bit since it's not in Victoria, but AI still recommends the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge to visit when in the Victoria area. And AI isn't wrong. I have it on good authority, that people from all over the world come to visit ANWR. Need  some inspiration? Check out Backyard Bird Nerd's Facebook page here

Number 8- What about a Local Festival?

AI recommended Bootfest- oops, but also on the list is Riverside Food Truck Festival, and Victoria Market Days. "These events offer live music, delicious food, local vendors, and a lively atmosphere, providing a great opportunity to have fun and immerse yourself in the community spirit." Ai offers. But it forgot my favorite component and that is being OUTDOORS!

Number 7- Take A Swing!

Outside of volunteering for STJ Golf Tournament fundraiser, I've never played golf, but AI recommends a round of golf at Victoria Country Club. That being said, there is also Riverside Park and The Club at Colony Creek. I can't help but mention, Victoria also boasts a disc golf course in Riverside Park that is world renowned too!

Number 5- The Texas Zoo

Over the last twenty five years that I've been in Victoria I've loved watching the growth of the Texas Zoo. At one point as my children were growing up we went at least twice a week. When was the last time you've gone? Goooo! You're never too old or young to enjoy the Zoo.

Number 4- Fishing at Coleto Creek

At number four, fishing at Coleto Creek Reservoir. I got the chance to spend the night once at Coleto when I first moved to town and it was so- much-fun. We swam all day and afterwards someone mentioned there were alligators in the water. I had no idea. So fishing at Coleto Creek is what we do now!

Number 3- Go to the Show!

Attend a performance at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts! There has never been an event, a play or a concerts, or dance performances that I haven't enjoyed. One of the things I love most about Victoria is the incredible arts and entertainment we have. Leo J. Welder Center

Number 2- Love the Outdoors at Riverside Park

I'm so glad to see Riverside Park coming in the top ten, especially this close to number one, because Riverside Park is my number one. One of the reasons I love this city so much is Riverside Park. We could spend all day for weeks on end just enjoying the playgrounds, the Guadalupe River and of course the wide open spaces.

And coming in at Number 1... The Museum of the Coastal Bend

With a cannon smack dab in the middle of the museum, MCB is a total blast from the past. You can literally spend hours perusing the history of not just Victoria but the entire Coastal Bend giving you a much deeper appreciation of our rich history and the lives of citizens that came before us!
