Sometimes it takes months, sometimes it takes years. That's the truth about a lot of things, especially making a name for yourself in the country music business. The hard part is attracting enough fans to become well known. The harder part is keeping them.

The Eli Young Band has been together as a band for nearly 11 years, but they still manage to garner new fans on a daily basis. The most rewarding part for the band is hearing first-hand how their music has affected the lives of fans. They told CMT Daily Roundup, "It’s a huge compliment to know that they’re fans out there that are picking up a guitar or starting to write songs because of that inspiration. It’s pretty cool.” The Eli Young Band “Crazy Girl” is up for the 2012 CMT Music Awards fan-voted award for Group Video of the Year. The awards will air live from Nashville on June 6th at 7PM Central on CMT.

You can hear the Eli Young Band every day on KIXS 108.
Several KIXS 108 VIP members got free tickets to see the Eli Young Band and Roger Creager on May 27th at Concrete Street Amphitheatre in Corpus Christi. Have fun!!
