There is always something changing at our Texas Zoo. If you haven’t visited it in awhile you should make plans to head out there. The Texas Zoo received grant funding to construct a paleontological dig site in the Animal Kingdom building. The dig site is now open to guests.

At the site, visitors will uncover real fossils. The fossils are set in plaster and covered with sand. They are set in a timeline. When the entire site is complete, there will be graphics describing the types of fossils that are in the site so that everyone can learn more about what they are discovering.

Head down to The Texas Zoo, I promise you will have some fun! There are many other projects going on which I will discuss at a later date. You are going to “dig” it!
