The 2014 Mid-Coast Hurricane and Disaster Conference will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Victoria Community Center at 2905 East North Street in Victoria, Texas. Doors open and registration for the conference begins at 8:00 am. The conference Welcome starts at 8:45 am. The General Wrap-Up Session ends at 4:30 pm. A Grand Prize Drawing for a gasoline power generator will be held at the end of the conference and you must be present to win. Registration for the conference includes a continental breakfast and lunch provided by Uncle Mutt's.

The purpose of the conference is to provide information on hazards from both natural and man-made disasters and provide training and information for first responders, healthcare professionals, critical infrastructure representatives, public sector employees, business leaders, energy representatives and industry representatives in the case of a local disaster.  This conference serves to educate and prepare our communities for hurricanes and other disasters. The conference originally began as a training and networking opportunity for first responders and industry representatives prior to hurricane season. The conference has been well attended over the years attracting over 300 attendees from 16 area counties.
