March 21, 2013 Amateur ("Ham") radio operators from all over will converge on the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds (4200 Highway 36, Rosenberg, Texas) for the Greater Houston Hamfest Saturday, March 23rd. Ham radio is a great hobby, as well as a means of emergency communications when other systems fail. Presented by the Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club, this is the 2nd largest hamfest in Texas!
March 15, 2013 Saddened to hear of the passing of Grand Ole Opry star and Country music legend, Jack Greene at the age of 83. His many hits included "There Goes My Everything," "Statue Of a Fool," "All The Time," and many more. This photo was taken backstage at the Opry in December of 2000. He was a true gentleman, and loved entertaining his fans.

November 1, 2012 Well, I've made it to 1 month on the new KIXS 108 Morning Show! And Nov. 21st will mark 32 years since I did my first overnight shift on KNGS-AM ("Kings Country 62")/Hanford, CA...the start of my career in radio. What a ride, so far! And sometimes I feel like I'm just getting started!
