Are you a business owner seeking information about health care? Employers needing affordable health care options to cover themselves and employees for 2015 can receive professional advice at Citizens Medical Center's Open Enrollment Seminar for Employers from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday in the Citizens Medical Center Central Classroom. Representatives from Citizens and Texas Community Healthcare Plans, which is a private exchange set up to help rural Texans purchase health insurance, will discuss available group and individual options on the Federal Exchange. Controlled costs, defined contribution and possible tax breaks will also be addressed, reports the Victoria Advocate.

Three special sessions will be at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Thursday. During these sessions, Robert Seibert, private exhange manager, will discuss concerns and issues employers face regarding insurance benefits. Seibert said there may be benefits and tax credits that small business employers don't know about.
