H-E-B Plus!'s sixth annual Fourth of July parade will be at 9 a.m. Friday in the store parking lot at 6106 N. Navarro St. The parade is for children aged 2 to 12 years old. Participants are asked to decorate their bicycle, tricycle or wagon in the spirit of Independence Day. First- through third-place winners will be awarded trophies. All participants will receive goody bags. The parade, which will lap the parking lot twice, will last between 30 and 45 minutes, said Adrian Chavana, H-E-B Plus! general merchandise manager. It will be in the area nearest the field.

"We have a lot of community support this year," Chavana told the Victoria Advocate. Support also includes the Veterans of Foreign Wars council, the Red Cross, the Victoria Police Department and the Victoria Fire Department.

Line up is at 8:30 a.m. Friday. Parents must accompany children 4 years old and younger. For more information, call the store at 361-578-9891.
