Dj is a five year running back who played in 49 games, including six starts with honorable mention All-Big 12 choice as a senior. He was named to the 2012 CFPA All Purpose Trophy watch list. Ended his career ranked tied for sixth on the FBS active career kickoff return for a touchdown list with a school record there posted 1,685 kickoff return yards on 68 attempts for a 24.8 yards per return average recorded 2,620 career all-purpose yards on 195 plays had more than 500 all-purpose yards in each of his four seasons. He was selected to play in the 2013 NFLPA Collegiate Bow. DJ had 62 all-purpose yards on the 11 plays in helping the national team to a 34-0 win over the American squad. He scored on his first ever collegiate play with a 89 yard kickoff return against ULM. His three career kickoff  for TDs rank tied for second on the Texas all-time kickoff/punt return for touchdown list. DJ is also a member of the track and field team in 2011, a prep All American. He also was tabbed the offensive MVP of the Texas High Schools Coaches Association All Star Game. He won the 2006 4a state championship in the 100 meters and was chosen to the 2011 Academic All Big 12 first team.
